Finance Business Analyst (Finance

Rate: £400 per day (inside IR35)

Location: Birmingham – Hybrid work pattern

Hays is currently partnering with a local Birmingham-based council to recruit a Finance Business Analyst with a strong background in finance and governance policies. This role is designed to support end-of-year activities within the council on an initial 3-month contract, offering a competitive rate of £400 per day.

Main Duties:

• Running transaction reports for scrutiny to determine necessary accruals for 2022/23.
• Analysing actuals of miscoding and producing corrective journals for a data cleanse exercise.
• Posting relevant in-year journals for 2023/24.
• Analysing agency spend to determine a full-year forecast for 2023/24.

Requirements:

• Experience in finance within a public sector environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Strong attention to detail.
