Job Description:

We are currently seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Junior to Intermediate Quantity Surveyor with expertise in groundworks to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency throughout the construction process.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conducting quantity surveying duties related to groundwork projects.
2. Estimating and tendering for projects, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
3. Monitoring project costs and providing regular reports to management.
4. Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers to negotiate favorable terms.
5. Assisting in the preparation of project budgets and cost forecasts.
6. Providing support to the project team as required.
7. Ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety regulations.
8. Contributing to the continuous improvement of processes and procedures.

Requirements:

1. Previous experience in quantity surveying, with a focus on groundworks.
2. Knowledge of NEC contracts and relevant regulations.
3. Strong numerical and analytical skills.
4. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant surveying software.
6. Full UK driving license.
7. Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or related field.
