We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join a vibrant and supportive school in North Leeds. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic learning environment, starting immediately and continuing through until the end of the academic year, with the possibility of extending the contract for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities of an English Teacher:

• Plan, deliver, and assess engaging English lessons for students across key stages.
• Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of students with varying abilities.
• Maintain a positive classroom environment, promoting student engagement and achievement.
• Monitor and report on students’ progress and provide feedback to both students and parents.
• Work collaboratively with fellow teachers and staff to ensure the best outcomes for students.
• Uphold the school’s values, policies, and procedures.

Essential Requirements of an English Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• A degree in English, English Literature, or a related field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience teaching English at secondary school level (preferred).
• A passion for teaching and inspiring students to achieve their best.
• Ability to work well within a team and independently.

Desirable:

• Experience with SEN students or classroom management techniques.
• Ability to adapt quickly to a new environment.
• Knowledge of the UK curriculum.
