HGV Technician
Days – Mon – Fri
£42-45K
Teesside – Middlesbrough
Jackson Hogg is retained in their search for multiple HGV Technicians to manage a large Fleet Maintenance operation for their Teesside based operation.
You will be responsible for servicing, repair and diagnosing faults on a range of electrical and mechanical vehicles ranging from light and small vans, forklifts, and larger trucks and HGVs.
Main duties:
- Servicing, repairing and diagnosing a range of electrical and mechanical systems on vehicles
- Competently and safely working on electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems
- Follow company methods for ordering parts and manufactures warranty claim procedures.
- Knowledge of vehicle MOT and Fault Diagnostics process and Procedures
- Follow all Health and Safety procedures and standards.
- Working independently or part of a team.
To be successful, you will:
- Have experience in a similar background i.e. mechanic, vehicle repair, forklift, plant fitter, mechanic, access engineer, fitters, REME, etc.
- Will need to possess multi-skill, knowledge and safe working practises with environmental awareness.
- Work well with others or independently.
- Have a full UK driving licence – HGV licences are advantages
- Welding / fabricating desirable but not essential.
This role offers a competitive salary on days with additional earning potential through overtime and salary reviews. There is a good amount of overtime on offer if you want it and it is within a busy and large, varied vehicle fleet operation.
