This Thriving TV & Film Group is an employer of choice and a household name in the UK and across the globe. They now require a Head of Finance maternity cover to look after a number of their key UK business operations.

Reporting to the FD, this is a commercial finance role with a focus on FP&A and supporting the business as their main business partner, as well as overseeing the management reporting and leading a small team.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Management of the FP&A function for the business: preparation of quarterly forecasts including monthly re-forecasts and annual budgets/long range plans.
2. Provide high level support and recommendations on business cases and investment decisions.
3. Overview and analysis of monthly management accounts pack, variance analysis and commentary.
4. Review the month end results to assess and identify any trends, issues or opportunities for escalation to the Senior Management Team.
5. Understands revenue streams and is able to provide insightful analysis and recommendations as to how these might be maximised, including involvement in and shaping of new revenue deals.
6. Able to support the business in achievement of its strategy and understands the challenges of some of the related costs.
7. Review of individual company cash-flows and consolidation into the group cash-flow on a monthly basis.
8. Lead monthly review meetings with Commercial Heads.
9. Manage/develop a finance team of 3.
10. Ad-hoc financial analysis/project work as directed by the FD, COO, CEO.

Required Experience/Attributes:

1. Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
2. Proven background in FP&A, supporting a dynamic business as a key Finance Business Partner.
3. Experienced Team Leader who enjoys developing/getting the best out of their staff.
4. Media experience preferred.
5. Commercially astute with a pro-active, can-do attitude, a natural curiosity, and keen attention to detail.
6. Flexible & personable with a good sense of humour.
