We are currently seeking an FP&A Manager to join our Finance team. The FP&A Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial planning and analysis functions, including budgeting, forecasting, and month-end reporting. This role involves running the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting process by working closely with the Global FP&A team and budget holders. The role also involves providing insightful commentary and analysis to support the management accounts pack and drive strategic decision-making.

You’ll be;
Reporting directly to the UK Financial Controller with a dotted line to Global Head of FP&A. Your key responsibilities will be (but not limited to):
- Budgeting and Forecasting: • Developing and managing the annual budgeting process, including setting timelines, coordinating with various departments, and consolidating inputs.• Taking ownership of the budgeting and forecasting of the entity P&L, balance sheet and cashflow.• Coordinating and working closely with the Group FP&A team for submissions to input into the entity P&L for budgets and forecasts.• Preparing and updating rolling forecasts to reflect current business conditions.• Training/assisting budget users, production of business unit P&Ls, implementing rolling forecasts, assisting with presentations & production of a formal budget pack.• Able to build and set up forecasting models where needed and doing sensitivity analysis and scenario planning.• Working closely with Merch & Operations teams to forecast stock covers, stock intake and closing stock position.
- Channel & Departmental P&L Reviews: • Working closely with the Financial Controller and Financial Accounting team at month end.• Leading the preparation of the channel and/or departmental monthly P&L with variance analysis. Ensuring balances are reviewed for accuracy.• Reviewing departmental spending, analysing actuals against budget/forecast, and providing insightful commentary on variances to budget holders.• Analysing financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost optimisation.
- Financial Analysis and Reporting: • Supporting the global commercial finance and FP&A teams with ad hoc financial analysis to support departments or key projects, ensuring good cost control practices and/or enable operational decision-making.• Conducting in-depth variance analysis to provide actionable insights to management.• Working closely with the global BI and FP&A team in developing reporting.• Overseeing reconciliation of sales reporting to BI reports and investigate discrepancies.• Providing insights and recommendations for cost reduction, revenue enhancement, and profit optimization.• Ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Preparing reports for internal and external stakeholders as required.• Reporting monthly/Quarterly tasks including KPI reporting.
- Management, Coaching and Collaboration: • Mentoring and providing guidance to finance colleagues, fostering their professional development.• Educating more junior accountants in performing commercial analysis on the numbers and help them understand how their work fits into the ‘bigger picture’.• Identifying areas for streamlining processes and ways of working.• Collaborating closely with key stakeholders to deliver seamless financial operations and insights.
- Other Areas: • Supporting the financial accounting team with the audit process, providing necessary support or documentation.• Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards, keeping up to date with changes in legislation or best practices.• Continuously improving financial processes and reporting systems to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and the overall effectiveness of financial operations.
You’ll have;
- Previous experience in financial planning and analysis, budgeting and forecasting and month end reporting.
- To be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA) with post-qualification experience of at least 3+ years in FP&A or related roles.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong relationships across the business at all levels.
- Experience in managing people and demonstrate a willingness and desire to mentor, guide and develop a team.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience of international wholesale (B2B) & e-commerce business models.
- A detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and efficiency in managing financial data and transactions.
- The ability to be commercially astute, analytical with a high degree of numeracy.
- Preferred experience in PowerBI.
