JOB DESCRIPTION
Wood UK are hiring for a knowledgeable and experienced Consultant to advise on Pipelines Crossing from both an engineering and construction perspective.This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a cutting edge net zero project on an initial one year contract.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be a member of the Client’s project team and provide consulting on project engineering issues
- Responsible for providing expertise and ensuring the application of correct standards in all EPC deliverables in the design
- Providing expertise on crossing design and construction methodology
- Provide progress data and input to progress reports and schedules
- Fully understand clients HSE policy, procedures, regulations and objectives as they relate to his area of responsibility
- Contact and communicate with third parties and authorities as per PM instructions
- Undertake site visits as per project requirements
- Review EPC contractor pipeline engineering documentation and provide comments
- Interface with department for technical and administrative support
- Coordinate pipelines detailed design and mitigate interdisciplinary conflicts
- Attend client and EPC contractor meetings as required
- Interface with other disciplines and coordinate design review works
- Identify potential applications for new technology
- Ensure that Wood and Client’s Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality Management Procedures are complied with
- Provide assistance to other disciplines and participate in review meetings (if requested), in accordance with project requirements
- Support internal development and continuous improvement activities as required
QUALIFICATIONS
- Significant experience of Pipelines Crossings on complex projects
- Strong communication skills ideally with previous IPMT experience
- Reading based role on an initial one year engagement
