About the role
Arthur Recruitment is now offering an exciting opportunity for a Compliance, Payroll & Billing Administrator to join our team. Consultant, Candidate and Client relationships are key to the success of Arthur, and we are looking for someone who wants to broaden their knowledge of Recruitment Compliance and Pay & Bill in a varied, important role within the business. There is an opportunity to develop skills and understanding in all aspects of the role as our business continues to grow.
Key responsibilities
Contractor Compliance
- Onboarding candidates for all contract placements, including compliance with legislative responsibilities
- Issue of Key Information Documents
- Issue client and contractor assignment schedules and contracts
- IR35 status process, including obtaining of SDS’
- Ensure compliance with client terms and regulatory requirements
Contractor Payroll
- Assisting with Weekly payroll for PAYE temps
- Monthly payroll of LTD/Umbrella contractors
- Raising invoices to clients, adhering to their specific requirements/set up
- Responding to queries from workers and contractors regarding the onboarding process, timesheet portal, or pay/bill queries
Perm Compliance & Invoicing
- Ensuring compliance for both candidate and client on all permanent placements, including legislative responsibilities
- Invoicing clients
Ad Hoc Projects and Tasks
- Assisting with HMRC Employment Intermediary reporting
- Importing payroll and invoicing data to Xero
- Assisting in the implementation of software to support and streamline processes and increase efficiencies
- Support the finance team during financial and compliance audits
Systems: Bullhorn, RSM Intime, RSM InPay, Konquest, Xero, Giant Screening, Docusign, QDOS.
Skills, knowledge, and experience
- Ideally 1-2 years’ experience in a recruitment background, or from a service-based, time-billing business such as consulting or legal
- Familiarity with relevant compliance laws and regulations e.g., AWR, GDPR, IR35
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (Intermediate Level); experience with accounting software and Pay & Bill platforms are a bonus
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment, with a proactive attitude
- Possess strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately under pressure and timelines
