Position: Residential Home Manager (Children's Services)

Location: Stafford, Staffordshire

Salary: Up to £48,000 per annum + Benefits

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the residential home and ensure its efficient operation in accordance with relevant legislation, policies, and the Statement of Purpose.
  • Support a team of adults working with young people to achieve the highest care standards.
  • Involve in recruitment activities, including vetting, interviewing, and inducting new staff members.
  • Contribute to the development of a comprehensive team training and development programme to meet the diverse needs of the young people.
  • Help to ensure strong employee retention through support and leadership.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to meet the care needs of both new and existing children and young people.
  • Be accountable for liaising with regulatory bodies to ensure the home's operations comply with all required standards.
  • Register with regulatory organisations and uphold the required conditions for the service.
  • Participate in the on-call system and undertake any other duties as required.

Job Requirements:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or Children and Young People's Services, or a willingness to work towards it.
  • Proven experience at a senior level in a residential children's home.
  • A full, clean manual driving licence.
