Trade Counter Assistant

Based: Newcastle Upon Tyne

Salary: Up to £28,300 depending on experience

The hours of work are 44.5 hours per week

Monday to Friday, 7.30am – 5.00pm, with alternate Saturdays 8.00am – 12.00pm

Are you a motivated and customer-focused individual with a passion for sales? We’re looking for a dynamic Sales Consultant to drive profitable growth across a broad product range for a builders merchant based in Newcastle.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Achieving and exceeding sales & margin targets
• Selling a range of quality products
• Identifying new sales opportunities and boosting customer engagement
• Attending joint visits with supplier reps to grow accounts
• Providing top-notch customer service in-person and over the phone
• Maintaining accurate pricing and stock levels
• Helping move slow stock and keeping displays neat and updated
• Supporting daily operations and administrative tasks

• Ideally you will have experience working in a builders merchant or trade counter sales
• Experienced in selling in person and over the phone.
