Working on behalf of our client based on the outskirts of Huddersfield. We are currently recruiting for a Draughtsperson.Role OverviewYou will be responsible for producing high-quality 2D and 3D CAD drawings, working on a variety of mechanical and structural projects. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in fabrication, steel structures, and mechanical engineering.
Key Duties:Create detailed 2D technical drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and Inventor software.Work closely with engineers and designers to develop mechanical and structural components.Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards, tolerances, and fabrication requirements.Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs) and maintain accurate project documentation.Assist in design modifications, clash detection, and problem-solving during the development phase.Collaborate with manufacturing teams, structural engineers, and clients to ensure designs meet project specifications.
What we are looking for in the successful candidate:Proven experience as a Draughtsperson with a mechanical and structural bias.Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD and Inventor).Strong knowledge of fabrication techniques, welding, and steelwork structures.Understanding of mechanical and structural design principles.Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines.Strong communication skills to liaise with engineers, production teams, and clients.
