Summary:
The Business Analyst for Data Governance & Compliance is responsible for supporting compliance, data governance, and surveillance projects within a financial institution. The role involves technical analysis, user requirement documentation, collaboration with technology teams, testing methodologies, and ensuring effective solutions for production issues.
Responsibilities:
Assist with compliance and data governance delivery from a technology perspective.
Perform technical analysis related to surveillance and data governance.
Document detailed user requirements and validate data.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to define solutions.
Work with project management and vendors to set delivery schedules.
Define testing methodologies and manage tests related to new product development.
Ensure effective partnership for transitioning new processes into live environments.
Drive solutions for production issues.
Build relationships across the organization, particularly with Compliance and Technology teams.
Act as a compliance technology subject matter expert (SME).
Understand data governance inputs and requirements, validate testing, and address data discrepancies.
Key Requirements:
Experience in a Data Governance role within a bank or financial services.
Business Analyst experience on compliance projects.
Knowledge of data governance tooling.
Understanding of trade surveillance.
Strong business analysis skills.
Ability to liaise with business and IT stakeholders.
Nice to Have:
Understanding of Dodd Frank and GDPR.
Knowledge of investment banking.
Experience working under pressure.
Solid communication skills, both written and oral.
