Role & Responsibilities:
- Oversee management of IBC, Chep, and White pallets.
- Coordinate with customers, sales account managers, and transport planners to manage equipment movement at entry and exit points.
- Report on KPIs for suppliers, negotiating best-value contracts for new and ongoing equipment supply.
- Carry out daily compliance checks and undertake correction actions where required.
- Lead stocktakes and reconciliation processes, including resolution of variances.
- Ensure equipment transfers, hire costs, and recoveries are accurately processed.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify continuous improvement opportunities and implement solutions.
- Maintain accurate and auditable invoicing, documentation, and system records.
- Train and support staff on equipment control processes.
- Act as a subject matter expert, providing system and process advice across the business.
- Develop, communicate, and implement standard operating procedures.
- Promote and adopt best practices to optimise equipment control and performance.
- Provide support and commute to the Liverpool site on an adhoc basis.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Full UK driving licence and own transport (mileage reimbursement provided for site travel).
- Solid understanding of warehouse operations, materials handling, and pallet management systems/software.
- Advanced Excel, with strong data entry speed and accuracy.
- Ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues, customers, and partners.
- A proactive team player with the ability to coach and mentor colleagues.
- Excellent time management and organisational abilities.
- Experience managing change and delivering continuous improvement initiatives.
- Previous experience in an equipment control role (desirable but not essential).
