Job Description:

Our Client is looking for an engaging and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join the jewellery store team. As the face of the brand, you will be instrumental in delivering a first-class shopping experience. Your role will involve assisting customers in selecting beautiful jewellery, providing expert advice, and ensuring the store is well-presented at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist customers in a warm, professional manner.
  • Offer informed advice on jewellery products, including metals, gemstones, and styles.
  • Achieve sales targets through excellent service and product knowledge.
  • Operate the till system, handling cash and card transactions accurately.
  • Ensure the store and displays are tidy, attractive, and well-stocked.
  • Receive deliveries and assist with stock management and inventory checks.
  • Respond to customer enquiries, returns, and complaints with courtesy and professionalism.
  • Adhere to security procedures during opening, closing, and throughout the day.
  • Take part in training sessions to improve product knowledge and sales skills.
  • Build long-term relationships with customers through follow-ups and personalised service.
  • Assist with visual merchandising, window displays and seasonal promotions.
  • Support team members during busy periods and cover other roles when necessary.
  • Keep up to date with current jewellery trends and new product lines.
  • Process special orders, engraving requests, repairs and bespoke commissions.
  • Ensure all transactions comply with company policies, including ID checks for age-restricted items or high-value purchases.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation in back-of-house areas.
  • Help plan and set up in-store events or VIP client appointments.
  • Monitor and report on customer feedback and sales trends to the Store Manager.

Requirements:

  • Previous retail or sales experience (jewellery or luxury goods preferred).
  • Passion for delivering excellent customer service.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Well-presented, with attention to detail and a professional attitude.
  • Able to work flexible hours, including weekends and bank holidays.
  • Reliable, trustworthy and team-oriented.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of jewellery, gemstones and precious metals.
  • Experience in a luxury or boutique retail environment.
  • Additional language skills are a plus – Arabic

Salary:  £25,700
